Stuffed Dressed Baby Hake

A delicious stuffing of herbs and lemon juice that compliment these baby hake baked fillets. They can also be braaied for the outdoor cook.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 400 g Sea Harvest Baby Hake (Allow time for thawing of fish)
  • 15 ml Dairybelle, butter or margarine
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 50 g Soft bread crumbs
  • 10 ml Parsley, chopped
  • 15 ml Lemon juice
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • 5 ml Dried mixed herbs

 

METHOD:

  1. Remove fins and belly fins.
  2. Sprinkle the inside and outside of the fish with a little bit of the mixed herbs.
  3. Melt the butter in a small saucepan and fry the onion until soft.
  4. Mix the other ingredients together and add the onion, salt, pepper and mixed herbs to taste.
  5. Place the fish onto a baking tray. Fill the cavity with the stuffing and dot the top with butter.
  6. Bake uncovered for about 30 minutes or until cooked.
  7. Serve the Sea Harvest Stuffed Dressed Baby Hake with a creamy potato bake and salad.
  8. This stuffing can be used as a topping or crumb for any other Sea Harvest Product.
