Hake Fillets 800g

Sea Harvest Hake fillets are individually pouched for your convenience. Suitable for pan-frying in your own unique batter or bake with a flavoursome topping.

Cooking Guidelines    

COOK FROM FROZEN: AS OVEN TEMPERATURES VARY, TIMES ARE A GUIDE ONLY.    

Oven Bake    
Preheat the oven to 200ºC. Place the fillets (skin side down) in a well-buttered ovenproof dish. Drizzle with oil or melted butter. Cover with foil and bake for 20 – 25 minutes, remove foil and bake for a further 10 minutes, until cooked through.   


Pan Fry    
Coat fillets in flour (optional). Heat a little oil in a medium size frying pan on moderate heat. Fry fish for 4 minutes on each side, until golden and cooked. Drain on absorbent paper.   


Grill    
Set grill to medium high. Place fillets (skin side down) on a lightly buttered tray. Drizzle with oil or melted butter and place in the centre of the oven under the grill. Grill for 15 – 20 minutes.   


Microwave    
Place fillets in a microwaveable dish. Drizzle with oil or melted butter. Cover with lid or cling film and pierce. Place 2 portions in a 1000 watt microwave oven and cook on medium high (80% power) for 8 – 10 minutes.
