Harvest Lindiwe
In 2002 Sea Harvest commissioned the Harvest Lindiwe, arguably the most technically advanced vessel of her kind in the world. The vessel is fully fitted with the latest available on-board processing equipment and technology and specializes in the catching and processing of Cape Capensis at sea.
Key Features:
- Danish built
- Length 67.4m
- Breadth 14.0m
- Slurry ice production
- Buffer storage bins
- Baader filleting machines
- Trio deep skinning machines
- IQF Freezer
- Electronic grading
All fillets produced are deep-skinned and deboned before being individually quick frozen and graded. Excellent rapid chill through the use of flow ice ensures superb quality and within an hour of the catch the fillets are individually quick frozen (IQF) “locking in” freshness, delicate flavour and firm texture.
These Cape Capensis fillets are tightly graded, making them ideal for portion and cost control, reduces waste and gives good plate coverage. They are easy to prepare and cook in various ways, are low in fat, contain no additives, provide excellent batter adhesion and are available all year round.
This development puts Sea Harvest ahead of the rest of the industry in terms of product innovation and quality.
All premium sea frozen IQF Cape Capensis fillets are marketed under the Cape Haddie brand and appreciated internationally. Click here to download the information leaflet.
